So, a few weeks back my car started to act funny! Okay, what happened was I left my lights on and my battery died in the Kroger parking lot but ANYWAYS!!! After that I kept having to give myself jumps(or wake my mom up to give me a jump). So, I went to an auto store and discovered that my battery is in a space behind my left front tire! FABULOUS! I had to go into work the next morning so my mom gave me a jump the night before and I rode away for awhile to get the juice flowing. The next morning I got up and the freakin' battery was dead again! *sigh* So, I called work and told them I might be a little late because my car was dead. I went next door and luckily someone was home and she jumped me and I got to work on time! When I got into work Lt. told me that someone would have came and got me and next time that happened not to stress(cause I was!)

Later that night the Lt. told me to get my keys so that he could check my battery! LOL! So, we went out to the car and he was like: "What the hell Hawk? Where's the battery?" I told him where the auto guy had said it was and we ended up calling someone with the same type of car to make sure. It IS there. Being car illiterate(yeah, several of the guys laughed at my expense when they were asking questions and I'd just shrug(hello! I have AAA!!)) Lt. told me what type of battery to get and where to go to get it. He said they'd install it....they DON'T because of where the battery is located! But they did direct me to Wal-mart.

So, I go to Wal-mart and lo and behold, freakin' Wal-mart doesn't install the battery either!! :( :( :( 'But any mechanic will do it!' says the stupid mechanic at Wal-mart! O_o So, I call Lt. to ask for another place and he's freakin' shocked that they don't. He said a few choice words and then put me on hold. Switched back over and said: "Yo Hawk, bring the battery to the PD and we'll see what we can do!" Drove to the PD and one of the officers were waiting for me. He checked out the car, looked to see what tools he would need and told me to bring it back the next day for him to fix! Huzzah!!!

Next day my car starts up without a hitch and I go into work. I work my shift and the officer comes up to the front desk and asks if I'm ready. He changes out my battery and then goes about HIS shift! How awesome is that! So, now I'm almost finished making the shift dinner since he had to get permission from the Sgt on duty(since Lt. wasn't there.). The boys love to eat and I don't mind cooking!:P Baked spaghetti in exchange for him changing out my battery, banging out a dent AND an alignment?! Boys in blue for the win!!!
